Alhoons are outcast mind flayers. Ditching the rule of the elder brains, they've used their magic to achieve a limited form of lichdom. Where normal mind flayers are all slimy and baby-smooth, alhoons are dried-up husks. Working hard to keep hydrated, they take frequent baths, drink lots of water, and puts the lotion on the skin.
